Top Chef Season 7 contestant cooks for charity event in Baltimore

For those who love a good party, food, and drink this just crossed my desk.  No time to put my own spin on this - here is the press release: 

Bmore Together is hosting a Culinary Showcase on Monday, March 20, to benefit local youth arts organization Muse 360Tickets are on sale now.

When: March 20th from 6-9pm
Where: Church & Co, 3647 Falls Road
Cost: $60 in advance ($75 at the door)


Your ticket includes:
Hearty small plates from five culinary superstars, assisted by high school culinary arts students from the National Academy Foundation in Baltimore City. Drinks and wine pairings included. Vegetarian options will be available at each station.

**The following chefs (who have graciously donated their time and top-notch ingredients!) will be preparing haute cuisine in their own distinct styles.
 
-- Chef Kenny Gilbert is the chef/owner of Gilberts Social and Gilberts Underground Kitchen in Florida and was on Top Chef Season 7. A Chef de Cuisine at the age of 23 at the Ritz, he has over 20 years of experience in fine dining. He has cooked at the James Beard House, participated in wine & food festivals around the country, cooked for the Sports Illustrated Super Bowl party and appeared on the “Today Show,” Jacksonville’s FOX 30 and in the LA Times. Kenny has also recently penned his first book titled, A Chef’s Journal.

-- Chef Rey Eugenio is the chef at Points South Latin Kitchen in Fells Point (previously of Ouzo Bay and Roy's in Harbor East). He trained under Kenny Gilbert at the Ritz Carlton in Florida and regularly consults for celebrities and restaurant groups.

-- Chef David Thomas is the chef/owner of Ida B's Table (opening Memorial Day Weekend 2017) in downtown Baltimore. In 2012, he opened Herb & Soul: a farm to table, local and sustainable carry-out. Herb & Soul won numerous awards, and Thomas went on to be featured on "Tasty Travels," as well as several local tv stations. His food and work have been featured in Style Magazine, The Baltimore Sun, Foodservice Monthly, Black Enterprise, and Cuisine Noir.

-- Chef Steven Grant is the chef at Cardinal Tavern in Canton. He hails from Georgia and brings a southern flare to his menu.

-- Chef Davon Pulliam has worked at many high end restaurants in Baltimore and DC (including Fleet Street Kitchen and La Cuchara). He is currently the culinary instructor at the National Academy Foundation (NAF).
