Old Westminster Winery produces red, white, sparkling and rosé wines exclusively from grapes grown in Maryland. While some are single vineyard selections, others are an artful blend of home grown grapes paired with those from other Maryland winegrowers. Wines are available on site or through various wine shops and restaurants throughout the region.
“In our winery, the goal is to produce a balanced wine that reflects both the vineyard and vintage,” said winemaker, Lisa Hinton. “We achieve this by timeliness and attention to detail – our fingerprints are on every vine, every grape and every bottle.” The Baker family’s collective determination, meticulous vineyard management and thoughtful cellar practices enable them to produce truly noteworthy wines. Recently, Old Westminster Winery won Best in Class: Best White Blend in the 2015 Maryland Governor’s Cup Competition for its Greenstone 2014.
