Every year I make it a point to attend the Summer Fancy Food Show
seeking out trends and new products.
Held at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, the show is enormous,
filling every exhibit hall, over 2,600 exhibitors, with products not only produced in the United
States but from all around the world. For exhibitors, ones who exhibit each
year, ones with seniority, get first pick of the booths they want for the
coming year – what they believe are the prime spots or the same spots. Companies, new and established, are looking
for distribution of their products directly with stores, through distributors,
wholesalers, brokers, gift baskets and food service.
In recent years the Specialty Food Association has proffered cost
effective tables to new emerging manufacturers – without the commitment and
cost of a full booth at the Summer Fancy Food Show.check out my picks at Examiner.com.
