Anastasia Italian Bistro and
Lounge is part of the Kali Restaurant Group and is located where Mele called
home for a number of years. I’m trying
to think if there are any other Italian restaurants in Baltimore’s Fells Point
and if there is, it escapes me. There are plenty of bars and restaurants but
nothing I can remember that is Italian.
Anastasia has been open since
late 2013 redesigned with what I call Italian minimalistic touch of black, white
and red. Pictures of a motor scooter,
Italian actresses and a large Barbara Wood print adorn the walls. There are bars
galore in Anastasia two on the restaurant level and one in a lower level lounge.
When the restaurant opened they only served dinner and made a name for
themselves as a more upscale nightclub venue with dancing. It was only recently that they have opened
the doors at Anastasia for lunch between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. I was a guest of the restaurant to come in
and enjoy what Anastasia offered for the midday diner.
